Tap Tap Tap is a song by Cojum Dip, appearing on every release by the band.
History
The song is one of the many written in 2004, recorded and publicly released in September of that year on the website ViciousEnterprises.NET.[1] This demo was later released on The Greatest Demo CD in the Universe, although in December 2004, before the release of the album, a newer demo was released to Vicious Enterprises,[2] cutting the intro. The song was again rerecorded for the Anthropomorphic Bible Assault EP, this time removing the outro, and has been included in every release made by the band since, the bridge even being replaced by a newly-written one in the self-titled album.
Trivia
- The "Oh my God it's DIP!" at the end of the song is sampled from Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
- The 2010 Turk Off EP demo of Tap Tap Tap samples the coin sound effect from the game Super Mario Bros.
- Throughout the song, both Mumutits and Laurence do a guitar technique called "Tapping", while mainly playing three notes repeatedly, hence the name "Tap Tap Tap".
Lyrics
Don’t try to scan a seaweed heap,
your fragile toes might step in glass
Don’t try to pet your dog in the dark,
you might feel it up the ass
Grew up on tabbouli and hummus,
carrots and baba ghanoush
I can’t say the word “foyer”
but I can pronounce the word “douche”
Grew up on tabbouli and hummus,
carrots and baba ghanoush
I stopped calling people fags
but I’m still in a rotten cartouche
Mommy’s trucking kids in her belly,
getting them ready for a soccer rot
Next time I see a van with a telly,
I’m going to hit them a lot!
The crime scene
had officers’ heads down (shoowap shoowap)
How will I unearth that mystery? (Shoowap shoowap)
Dental records, maybe? (Shoowap shoowap)
That poor baby.
Mommy’s trucking kids in her belly,
getting them ready for a soccer rot
Next time I see a van with a telly,
I’m going to hit them a lot!
A lot!
A lot!
A lot!

"Thank you! This next song is dedicated to Steve Irwin.
It's called Tap Tap Tap, and much like his untimely and unexpected death,
it is the most extreme thing you will ever hear."
