4-LOM is one of the earliest songs written for the band, dating as far back as at least 2004. Its first known appearance is a demo dated September 11th, 2004 uploaded to the website Vicious Enterprises. This version features an early second pre-chorus. It was also featured on The Greatest Demo CD in the Universe, although it is unknown if it is the same demo as the 2004 one. The song later ended up on the Anthropomorphic Bible Assault EP, and features speaking from most of the band members. The Turk Off EP version of the song removes the electric baglama solo, and the final version of the song, present on the self-titled album, is mostly the same as the Turk Off demo but with better mixing. The self-titled album would also set "4-LOM" as the definitive name of the song (on previous releases, the names "4LOM", "4LO$" and "4♥O$" would be used interchangeably).

Lyrics

"I think Cajum Dip is gonna be, uhh, coming out the door!
So give it a great big hand, Cajum Dip!"

"Bring me some dip!"

Open eyes
They can’t disguise
the new color etched into my mind along with Mr. Smith
He sits there
so patiently
A life ended soon with broken nails and the mirror’s frame I'd never see

It seems so fine
if it were mine
I would own most nothing
It seems so fine
if it were mine
The world is for me, err

It seems so fine
if it were mine
I would own most nothing
It seems so fine
if it were mine
The world is for me

I've found my love

If I could wash the world away
would I begin to live that way?
If I could wash the world away
would I begin to live that way?

And though they say it’s poisonous,
their bath does wash their pain away!

their bath does wash their pain away
(Screaming)

Childhood could see the ruffles of
paper, useless things
Watch them buy that shiny
thing that makes my daddy
smile
smile

Waiting all week
One day it’s mine
Crying halts to nothing
The joy that I seek

I've found my love

I want
an eternity
so long as I
can brush away my grief
my grief!

Open eyes
They can’t disguise
the new color etched into my mind along with Mr. Smith
He sits there
so patiently
A life ended soon with broken nails and the mirror’s frame I'd never see

It seems so fine
if it were mine
I would own most nothing
It seems so fine
if it were mine
The world is for me, ahh

It seems so fine
if it were mine
I would own most nothing
It seems so fine
if it were mine
The world is for me

I've found my love

Early Second Pre-Chorus

Open eyes
They can’t disguise
the new color etched into my mind along with Mr. Smith
Eternal Bliss
Over 15 years
For the rest of my life rises exponentially
I sit here
patiently
A life ended soon with broken nails and the mirror’s frame I'd never see
