The song seems to act as an introduction to each member of Cojum Dip, and is currently the only song sung by all members of Cojum Dip (except Captain No).

History

The song was originally titled 5/4 as seen on the Anthropomorphic Bible Assault EP and debuted on their Emergenza Alvin's performance on December 12th.[2] Along with the debut of the song, a 5/4 single was made and produced in mini CDs, only around 10 copies were made. [3]

5/4 single.

The Anthropomorphic Bible Assault EP demo of 5/4 features a different rapping verse for Bodur only, however, on live performances of the song, the members would often freestyle a verse.[4]

An early instrumental demo of 5/4 named "fivefourfinal" was made in August of 2005 and given out to the band members.

5/4 was one of the two new songs featured in some variants of the Anthropomorphic Bible Assault EP along with Cell, however, the song wouldn't be rereleased again until 2014 in Cojum Dip's Self-Titled.

Trivia

  • The "Oh Dip!" present in the 2014 release of the song is sampled from Futurama.[5]
  • The song closes with a sample from the "Mad Watch" scene from the 1951 animated film Alice in Wonderland. In the scene the White Rabbit's pocket watch is destroyed by the March Hare, to which the Mad Hatter says "It's two days slow, that's what it is." The sound of the broken watch and the Mad Hatter's quote is present in the song.[6] However, the streaming release only has a modified version of the broken watch sound.
  • Blake (Captain No) wasn't featured in the rapping section because of his singing abilities: however, a verse was written for him.

Lyrics

To find my cranium
Providence
a life filled with kismet
Afterlife
I'll never get this far

BK: Yo my name is Bodur and I'm made of guano
Don't mistake my multilingual Jabberwocky for flow
Was born in deep space; hair is poison-laced
When I sneeze somewhere a baby grows knees on its face
Sworn to save the streets from evil wrong-doers
And by that I mean I stab myself with shish kebab skewers
I've turned my share of bodies into Tunisian crochet
Stealing offerings from catacombs to Laurence's dismay

JH: I'm gonna package up your soul leave it at the golf course
I tried to shave your mom but it was tough 'cuz she's a horse
Thirty-eight, twelve, twenty-six, thirty-two
I like chocolate
But so do you

BK: Everybody say "Oh Dip." (Oh Dip!)

MS: Udabn here, won't you play that funky clip?
I was raised by bears and a rusty chainsaw
I get a boner every time I see a broken seesaw

BM: Mumutits! hawheehawheehawheehawheehaw

I cannot fight it
And there's no reason why
I see the path it's,
it's just my time
The knot will bind me
The needle will go there
It's an illusion
But not unfair

I cannot fight it
And there's no reason why
I see the path it's,
it's just my time
The knot will bind me
The needle will go there
It's an illusion
But not unfair

I cannot fight it
And there's no reason why
I see the path it's,
it's just my time
The knot will bind me
The needle will go there
It's an illusion
But not unfair

(Bagpipe interlude)

I cannot fight it
And there's no reason why
I see the path it's,
it's just my time
The knot will bind me
The needle will go there
It's an illusion
But not unfair

"It's two days slow, that's what it is."

54 Verse

BK: Yo my name is Bodur and I've got a big schlong
Jacob Hurley ain't got shit on me, and neither does King Kong
I'm fartin' out rhymes like they were bad gas
I'd spit some more, but I am late for a class
I go to the music school while all my friends say it's a joke
Where all I do is play the harp, and drink Coke, well
Of jazz metal I am still the king
And I'mma spike your food with Cojum Dip poisoning

Magic Stick Live Verse

JH: I'm gonna package up your soul, leave your brain to the golf course
Take your mom at dinner and then fuck her with a seahorse
57 motherfucking cojum boys
Now you say what, say what, what, whatwhatwhatwhat
BM: Mumutits! Mumutits!
HAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
